About this landfill
Fajardo Municipal Landfill is a publicly owned landfill in Fajardo, Fajardo, Puerto Rico. It is operated by Landfill Technologies Corp.. The site opened in 1971 and is expected to keep accepting waste until about 2042. It took in about 212,360 tons of waste in 2022, making it the No. 4 of 22 reporting landfills in Puerto Rico by volume.
