About FindTheDump
Finding the dump shouldn't take ten browser tabs. Landfill and transfer station information is scattered across thousands of county and city websites, and map apps often mix dumps in with junk haulers and recycling bins. FindTheDump puts the places you can actually drop off a load in one directory, organized by state and county.
Where our data comes from
We currently list 2,094 facilities. Operating landfills come from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Landfill Methane Outreach Program (LMOP) database, which covers municipal solid waste landfills nationwide. Transfer stations come from OpenStreetMap, the volunteer-built public map. We add hours, fees and accepted materials as we verify them against official sources.
Always confirm before you go
Facilities change hours, fees and rules without notice. Treat this site as a starting point and call the facility before you haul a load. If you spot something wrong, please tell us and we'll fix it.
FindTheDump is operated by JAM Holdings LLC and is not affiliated with any landfill, government agency or waste company.
